Who are the Chosen Little Flock and Why Few Only?

The few people are the first humans to be saved by God first as necessity. God saves all humans but begins with few people whom He calls “little flock” (Luke 12:32). They are biblically the called-and-chosen ones (Matt 22:14). They are the Church (Matt 16:18). Behind the Lord Jesus Christ, they help serve in facilitating the salvation of the rest of Mankind called the “great harvest” (Matt 9:37 and 1 Cor 15:20) during the Kingdom Reigning time . . . not now in this evil world!

It must be realized that this little flock that constitutes the Church of God remains few until the Kingdom comes. They cannot be identified by the rest of the world. They constitute the Church of God (Matt 16:18) worshiping in spiritual way (John 4:23). For the rest of Mankind, they shall have their time in the Kingdom Reign.

For these few, God is busy preparing them for salvation today in this evil world. They are “in this world but not of this world” (John 15:19). They are in fact spiritually living in the World of God extended in this evil world without this world knowing and so their identity and location unknown.

HATED PHYSICALLY BUT REJOICING SPIRITUALLY

But how could the world possibly hate the chosen-few as foretold in John 15:19 if they are unidentifiable? The answer lies in their strange ways of godly living, their general personalities, their ways. their statements being that which don’t conform to the world (Rom 12:2) and so looked as absurds, discriminated and ultimately hated. But their hope is in John 15:18. Knowing their destiny, they are happy.

GOD’S STRATEGY STARTS SMALL

God is not for instant big, but start small in a humble beginning (Mark 4:31-32). In saving humanity, God starts with One, His Son Who became flesh (John 1:14) died like humans, only without sin, but resurrected to godship. And then God draws a small number of people to Christ (John 6:44). They have the nature and characteristics carried in their status as firstfruits of God’s workmanship, elected to serve in the Kingdom and witnesses proving to the rest of Mankind that God is faithful to His promise (Ps 82:6) when the whole world see them with their naked human eyes they “turned-God.” They are the Church today! (Matt 16:18).

COINCIDENCE OR DIVINE WILL?

By coincidence or divine will, the word few stands for Firstfruits, Elect and Witnesses or FEW.

Firstfruits: Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures(James 1:18, ASV);

Elect: “And then shall he send forth the angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven” (Mark 13:20, ASV, Mark 13:27, ASV); and,

Witnesses: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8, 5:32, 22:15, Eph 2:6-7).

IS THIS THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION

Typical Preachers in this world rush in baptizing every person they are able to convince telling the only way to salvation is to become members of their fold citing biblical verse in Matt 28:19. They claim that people outside their fold are bound to hell.

And so, they stumble as they struggle desperately trying to save every person at sight justifying the urgent words in Acts 22:16 which says: What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord?”

LITTLE FLOCK REMAINS FEW IN NUMBER

God saves the rest of Mankind as much as He saves the few. But the few first who remain few until the the Kingdom comes. They are the laborers, the staffers, the crew.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32, ASV).

It is a dictate of reason that the ratio between laborers to harvest would always be few to many. Similarly, the workers God called and chosen are few in ratio who soon help gather the many in salvation process behind Christ as the King of of all kings and Lord of all lords (1Tim 6:15, Rev 19:16, Rev 17:14).

The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field(Matt 9:37-38, NIV).

It’s plain that the Lord of the harvest was just ordering the workers to start early to cope up with the volume.  It is not an order to increase the number of laborers. All versions of the Bible do not mention the need for more workers except New Living Translation (NLT).

CHURCH IS THE INSTRUMENT

The Church is not the reason of salvation, much less the need to be a member to be saved.  That is old and false doctrine. No one will ever fail to repent leading to salvation. God saves all.  Gods Word is powerful that there’s nothing it cannot melt to surrender and repent, not mechanical but the Word of God is just that powerful to bring humans to realize the goodness of God, and in their repentance they are led to knowledge of truths (2Tim 2:25, NIV).

Interestingly, God starts with the few first, the firstfruits, the Church, before the rest of Mankind, called the great harvest. These first fruits are not known of their identity, their race, nationality and location. So much their concealment are that they themselves do not know they are chosen (Matt 25:34-40). No one shall hurt them for “Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justified” (Rom 8:23).

New End-Time understanding states that the Church is God’s “instruments” that Christ utilizes to facilitate saving the rest of Mankind, billions in number. God saves the Church ahead of others for the purpose of assisting Christ and help facilitating in saving the rest of Mankind, awe-inspiringly billions in number, as deduced in the biblical passage below, particularly verse 7: “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:6-10, NIV).

Verse 7 is rich with revelations. It talks about the coming Age or the Kingdom of God where the Church, or the FEW, or the little flock, the called and chosen ones stand before the great multitudes of people as witnesses on the “incomparable riches of God’s grace, expressed in His kindness to them in Christ Jesus.”

  The MAN of Isaiah 53

“ . . . . hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.  He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:2-5, ASV).
